| Used predominantly for skin care, Shea Butter is known for its moisturizing and emollient properties. Refined Shea Butter is lighter in scent and is creamier, because it has been processed/refined, making it ideal in formulations for lotions, creams, balms and soaps, leaving behind a smooth, satiny finish. Please note that this butter is hard and will need to be slowly and gently heated to use. Our Shea Butter Refined has been refined mechanically with layers of cotton fabric for the filtering. No chemicals are used in the refining process. All of our refined butters are solvent free!
